We’re accepting applications for the position of Marketing Specialist. The primary responsibility of the Marketing Specialist is co-ordinating and executing innovative marketing campaigns focused on brand positioning and product launches. This role involves close collaboration with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement effective strategies. In an acceleration unit where team functions often overlap, the Marketing Specialist also works closely with the social media team, as well as internal design and copywriting teams. As such, the role contributes to optimising the output and performance of Social Media Managers, Content Managers, and Designers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating and implementing innovative marketing campaigns for branding and product launches
- Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to drive effective strategies
- Working closely with the social media team and internal design and copywriting teams to ensure alignment in campaign execution
- Optimising outputs and collaboration across the roles of social media managers, content managers and designers
- Conducting market research to identify customer requirements, behaviours and trends
- Brainstorming and developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns
- Assisting in outbound and inbound marketing activities, demonstrating expertise in content development, optimisation, advertising and event planning
- Evaluating the performance of marketing campaigns using key metrics and presenting recommendations to management
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing stakeholders
- Joining social media groups and professional platforms to engage in industry-related discussions
- Monitoring the corporate website and social media pages to address business interests
- Gathering customer feedback to inform sales and product teams
- Understanding budget principles including budget allocation, tracking and optimisation
- Analysing product value propositions for existing brands and comparing different product positioning strategies
- Exploring brand identity components such as logos, colours and tone, and ensuring consistency in branding
- Executing marketing activities in line with brand identity guidelines
- Learning the structure and purpose of creative briefs and understanding the role of advertising agencies in creative development
- Drafting creative briefs for campaigns and evaluating their effectiveness
- Providing constructive and specific feedback on completed campaigns to advertising agencies
- Exploring customer touchpoints and mapping the customer journey for specific products or services
- Identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement throughout the customer experience
- Compiling monthly performance reports for marketing campaigns and interpreting key performance indicators and trends
- Developing comprehensive marketing strategies including segmentation, targeting and positioning
- Crafting brand strategy documents that articulate the brand’s unique value proposition and long-term vision
- Delivering compelling presentations summarising marketing and brand strategies while engaging the audience and responding to questions
- Evaluating creative materials such as advertisements and designs and providing specific, constructive feedback for improvement
- Understanding the role of creativity in marketing and applying visual storytelling techniques in communication
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or related
- Proven experience as Marketing Communications Specialist
- Familiarity with B2B and B2C advertising campaigns
- Hands-on experience with web content management tools
- Knowledge of SEO
- Experience managing campaign budget and ROI of budget performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good presentation skills
