Our client in the telecommunications sector requires the expertise of a seasoned content strategist with a passion for creating user-centred and conversion-focused content. This role will focus on crafting clear, engaging, and sophisticated digital experiences that align with brand strategy and drive measurable results. A deep understanding of UX principles, customer journeys, and marketing strategies is essential to create content that resonates with users and enhances overall business impact. This position reports to the Portfolio Manager for Product Design and will collaborate closely with the UX design, marketing, and digital development teams to ensure content is optimised for both usability and performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy incorporating user experience (UX) writing principles to enhance user journeys and support business objectives
- Ensuring all content aligns with brand identity, campaign themes and creative direction
- Writing and managing content for all marketing communications including performance marketing adverts, emails, social media, printed collateral, press releases and digital interfaces
- Crafting user-centric UX copy such as microcopy, error messages and calls to action that enhance usability and guide users through intuitive and engaging experiences
- Optimising content using search engine optimisation (SEO) and UX best practices to improve discoverability, accessibility and user engagement
- Conducting technical audits to maintain high-quality content across platforms and ensure alignment with user needs
- Reviewing and managing all marketing and UX content to ensure consistency with brand and campaign objectives
- Collaborating with the Marketing and Design Teams to generate innovative ideas, support campaigns and meet both user and business goals
- Developing, maintaining and enforcing editorial style guides, tone of voice principles and UX writing guidelines to ensure a cohesive and user-centred voice across all products and digital touchpoints
- Measuring the effectiveness of UX writing by tracking key metrics such as user task completion rates, error reduction and time spent navigating interfaces while ensuring all UX copy enhances usability, accessibility and overall user satisfaction
- Establishing and optimising editorial, copywriting and UX writing processes to ensure efficient collaboration across teams, consistent quality and timely delivery of content across all marketing and digital products
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric and a tertiary qualification in marketing, communication, journalism, UX design, or a similar field is essential
- At least 8+ years of content development experience (preferably in an agency, digital marketing, or UX-focused environment)
- At least 3+ years of content strategy experience, including developing user-centred content strategies for brands
- At least 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally with teams such as SEO, UX/UI design, product development, and automation
- Proven expertise in UX writing, including crafting microcopy, error messages, and user interface copy that enhances usability and user engagement
