SCM Enablement Specialist

We are accepting applications for the position of SCM Enablement Specialist. This role will support Category Managers in the SCM environment by managing operational and administrative tasks, including catalogue and outline agreement requests, renewals and creations; contract upload submissions; supplier onboarding requests, extensions and setups; sourcing support such as supplier registrations and pre-event preparation; tracking open purchase orders and prompting requestors to receipt; and monitoring purchase order spend allocation and notifying the relevant business units.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Supply Chain Management (SCM) Category Managers with operational and administrative tasks within the Supply Chain Management environment
  • Processing catalogue requests, renewals and creations
  • Processing outline agreement (OLA) requests, renewals and creations
  • Submitting contract upload requests
  • Processing supplier onboarding requests, extensions and creations
  • Supporting sourcing activities including supplier registrations and pre-event preparation
  • Tracking open Purchase Orders (PO) and prompting requestors to complete receipting
  • Tracking Purchase Order (PO) spend allocation and prompting business units where required
  • Completing administrative Supply Chain Management register updates and consolidating Request for Proposal (RFP) updates
  • Providing Supply Chain Management training and guidance to business units
  • Engaging with Supply Chain Management Category Managers, Business Requestors and external shared services teams to deliver operational support
  • Supporting B-BBEE breach and penalty processes
  • Supporting agile delivery of regional and local level three tactical sourcing activities including the procurement card process
  • Driving continuous improvement of Supply Chain Management tools and reporting
  • Supporting delivery of process efficiency opportunities for Supply Chain Management categories through agile working practices
  • Providing input into and supporting operational and administrative category activities
  • Engaging with technical delivery and commercial support teams to maintain effective systems and stakeholder support
  • Driving execution of catalogue and outline agreement (OLA) creations, supplier onboarding and other Supply Chain Management activities to achieve efficiency Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Supporting tactical suppliers through collaboration with internal stakeholders and Category Managers to ensure business requirements are met
  • Providing cross-category support within the Supply Chain Management team
  • Contributing to the development of innovative operational strategies

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3 to 5 years experience within procurement
  • Relevant Diploma or Degree (essential)
  • Further studies towards SCM qualifications such as CIPS would be advantageous
  • Minimum of at least 6 months in an SCM Enabler environment
  • Experience in SAP ERP, Ariba Sourcing, Ariba Guided Buying, Price Manager, Contract Watch Office 365 workflow and SharePoint will be advantageous
  • Strong Excel proficiency
  • Proven track record of delivery against challenging targets
