We’re recruiting for the role of Sales Support Consultant (Sales Relief Consultant). As a Sales Relief Consultant, you will be tasked with providing support to Sales Consultants, Team Leaders and the Regional Sales Manager. This will include driving sales growth by expanding basket sales in terms of volume and Rand value, enhancing the customer base through retention strategies, onboarding new customers, building and maintaining long term customer relationships to ensure retention, and identifying new business opportunities to support growth objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maximizing sales from current customers and new customers
- Building and maintaining customer relationships
- Promoting a diverse range of solutions to potential customers
- Following in-store processes to achieve sales targets while maintaining gross profit percentage and expanding product basket offerings
- Promoting new lines while monitoring competitor activity and onboarding customers
- Providing comprehensive service to customers while addressing issues promptly and maintaining strong relationships
- Representing the company professionally while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention
- Developing a deep understanding of product categories while suggesting alternatives and informing customers of shortages
- Continuously improving product knowledge while seeking assistance for training when needed
- Managing credit notes and returns while communicating service, product and logistics failures and damages
- Providing insights on competitor activity, market trends and product feedback while ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Adhering to Company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance in all aspects of the role
- Maintaining integrity while upholding organisational standards
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related
- At least 5 years of similar experience in packaging or a related industry
- Proven track record of success in sales
