We’re accepting applications for the position of Human Resources Business Partner. The HRBP will work closely with the Executive Head in partnership with the company’s leadership to closely manage and grow the business by providing strategic and hands-on human resources support and delivery. This includes driving the delivery of the transformational people agenda and bringing to life the company’s people strategy. The HRBP will also be responsible for creating an enabling environment to drive a high performing entrepreneurial culture and employee engagement across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Executing the people strategy
- Developing key portfolio strategies and frameworks in partnership with the Executive, including Learning and Development
- Collaborating closely with Senior Leaders to drive and deliver people plans that support business growth
- Partnering with business areas to ensure the optimum organisational design is in place to support a future-fit operating model
- Driving organisational performance aligned to the performance management framework and competency model
- Supporting and delivering functional change programmes and organisational effectiveness initiatives within business areas
- Interfacing with key stakeholders to ensure alignment across cross-functional change initiatives
- Delivering against full-time equivalent, contractor and employment operational expenditure targets within business areas and supporting payroll budget and headcount management
- Acting as a tactical sparring partner by engaging on the effectiveness of processes, systems, data and people
- Driving the People Plan within each Business Unit, ensuring all people managers are enabled and equipped to deliver agreed objectives
- Proposing, developing and delivering key functional change programmes
- Acting as a catalyst for change by supporting the organisation through transformation
- Serving as a trusted and respected change agent who can influence, persuade and support business initiatives
- Challenging and improving people policies, processes and practices to ensure alignment with the People Plan and new ways of working
- Challenging and supporting Leaders within business areas to align behaviours and attitudes to the new culture framework
- Contributing to the functional people plan to ensure full alignment with the overall strategy and operating model
- Driving the delivery of functional initiatives and projects that support strategic objectives
- Continuously promoting performance dialogue awareness in collaboration with business areas
- Collaborating with Senior Leaders on the development of future-fit resourcing plans
- Supporting Senior Leaders in all areas of Talent Management, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, and Talent Retention and Engagement
- Executing the organisation’s Reward framework and principles
- Contributing to the development of the functional and leadership development framework
- Collaborating with Senior Leaders to build critical functional and leadership capabilities required to deliver business plans
- Ensuring the development of future capabilities to support pan-African growth and integration
- Managing the Learning and Development budget
- Partnering with leadership to ensure teams clearly understand the relationship between their business function, team goals and individual contributions to overall strategy
- Focusing business areas on continuously improving employee engagement by facilitating the development of People Survey action plans
- Promoting and initiating strategic initiatives to support and shape the business direction
- Identifying and addressing employee engagement issues and recommending suitable solutions
- Continuously shaping the employee experience journey across key employee touchpoints
- Building strong ‘support and challenge’ relationships with Senior Leadership Teams
- Implementing all performance-driven reward initiatives within business areas and ensuring appropriate staff recognition
- Delivering a strong pipeline of diverse future leaders and accelerating the development of high-potential talent within functional areas
- Identifying and delivering tailored solutions to enhance leadership team effectiveness
Minimum Requirements:
- 3 Year Degree or Diploma in HR, Industrial Psychology or similar
- Relevant post-graduate qualification such as Honours
- At least 5 to 8 years experience as a Human Resources Generalist
- Experience working with senior leadership in a corporate environment
- Experience in change management, transformation and people plans
- SABPP or HSPCA affiliation will be an advantage
