Internal Parts Sales Team Leader

A new position has opened up for a Internal Parts Sales Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Internal Sales Department; which will include driving the various systems involved in the sales process such as making sure quotes are sent out to customers accurately and timeously, and creating a comfortable atmosphere for customers to feel welcome. A dedicated, methodical and self-driven person is required who will take ownership and accountability of the task at hand and will perform their duties and responsibilities within the systems provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising internal sales and support staff to meet set targets
  • Creating and maintaining a positive culture focused on delivering results by providing ongoing coaching and development of internal sales and support staff
  • Motivating and driving the performance of internal sales and support staff
  • Ensuring business is consistently conducted with integrity
  • Remaining knowledgeable of key processes, product range, business initiatives and internal resources to support the internal sales and support staff in achieving company objectives
  • Overseeing and maintaining the ticketing system
  • Ensuring quotation, sales order and invoicing processes are functioning within required timelines
  • Answering telephone calls promptly and professionally
  • Providing excellent customer service including but not limited to
  • Addressing customer queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Providing regular feedback where necessary
  • Resolving any issues arising from the return of goods
  • Exceeding customer expectations through proactive support
  • Monitoring and improving all sales related systems and procedures
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Providing product advice and support
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management
  • Carrying out procurement-related functions as required
  • Drafting various forms of business correspondence
  • Capturing data accurately and efficiently

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric essential, relevant tertiary qualification beneficial
  • At least 2 to 5 years experience in internal parts sales
  • Experience selling automative, trucking or earthmoving parts
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills
  • Experience using Pastel Evolution will be beneficial
  • Willing to work every second Saturday from 07h00 to 12h00
