We’re accepting applications for the position of National Key Accounts Manager, who will be in charge of managing major key accounts on a national scale. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving targeted coverage, sales, distribution, and retail presence across the entire national landscape. They will be tasked with developing and executing innovative, scalable strategies to achieve national sales goals, secure broad channel coverage, and build meaningful, data-driven connections with key national accounts and regional partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships
- Performing cost benefit and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs
- Presenting, promoting and selling products and services using well founded arguments to existing and prospective customers
- Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction
- Achieving agreed sales targets and outcomes within schedule
- Co-ordinating sales efforts with team members and other departments
- Analysing territory and market potential while tracking sales and status reports
- Supplying Management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
- Participating in sales meetings and regular training
- Negotiating and applying persuasion skills to overcome objections
- Ensuring timely reporting and completion of daily administrative objectives
- Implementing promotions when applicable
- Providing ongoing market intelligence to Management
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric and a Degree in Sales Management, Business Management or similar
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Key Account Manager dealing with national accounts
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy, particularly Office and Outlook
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Own vehicle and a valid driver’s license
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Excellent listening skills to respond to customers’ needs, wants, and concerns
