Senior Business Analyst (Lending)

We’re recruiting for the role of Senior Business Analyst (Lending). The purpose of this position will be to ensure that user requirements for the business are technically understood, documented, developed, tested and delivered on in line with user expectations within an agile environment; as well as creating and estimating business requirements, user and technical stories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Portfolio Managers in all research, scoping, analysis and design activities
  • Performing business analysis and design activities by assessing requirements for the Lending team in financial services in terms of feasibility, impact and cost, thereby assisting to create and compile accurate user stories, derivation of business rules, customer journeys, MVPs and ensure this is well documented
  • Estimating user and technical stories to help inform and prioritize backlog
  • Providing technical input into system definition and designing activities and facilitate the delivery of value added solutions
  • Researching and investigating current industry trends and standards in terms of technologies deployed or planned to be deployed and how that can enhance and optimise systems
  • Acting as a technical liaison between business and the technical teams and ensuring the required support from all areas to ensure delivery of quality solutions
  • Ensuring that projects are delivered according to requirements, specified designs and that the technical and business teams are aligned around the same objectives and deliverables
  • Ensuring that solutions are delivered through the agile delivery processes and supporting the technical scrum teams with the delivery of solutions e.g. facilitation of configuration, testing, rollout coordination
  • Researching, defining and maintaining industry best practices
  • Maintaining, re-evaluating, optimising or automating existing business processes
  • Preparing reports and feedback to executive and line management
  • Performing quality assurance across business analysis documentation, vendor documentation, proposals, technical designs, test documentation and operational handover documentation
  • Participating in all of the key agile ceremonies within the team in order to contribute to the successful delivery

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant 3 year Degree in IT, Business or Engineering
  • At least 5 to 8 years Business Analysis experience
  • Certification in Business Analysis desirable
  • LENDING experience ESSENTIAL
  • Extensive exposure to product development, Agile, User Stories, Business Requirement Specifications, testing and project management
  • Experience in Financial Services
