Sales Support Analyst (Reporting Analyst)

We’re accepting applications for the position of Sales Support Analyst, which will include the functions for a Reporting Analyst. The Sales Support Analyst will be tasked with assisting in various activities and providing exceptional support across operational and sales departments. This will include report creation and analysis, reporting deductions, task allocation, meeting support and documentation, general administrative support, liaison and communication, as well as project support and task tracking.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining a suite of reports for the Regional Sales Manager
  • Analysing reports to identify exceptions, anomalies or inconsistencies and escalating findings to the Regional Sales Manager for review
  • Investigating the root cause of discrepancies and providing insights for resolution based on guidance from the Regional Sales Manager
  • Reporting any deductions required for car fines, private kilometres and or loans
  • Allocating identified issues to relevant team members upon approval from the Regional Sales Manager, providing clear recommendations and due dates for resolution
  • Ensuring tasks are being completed on time by following up with assigned team members, sending reminders as necessary and ensuring all tasks are being closed upon completion
  • Attending sales meetings and taking detailed and accurate minutes
  • Distributing meeting minutes promptly to all relevant team members and ensuring key actions are being tracked and followed up
  • Providing comprehensive administrative assistance to the Regional Sales Manager and performing any additional ad hoc duties
  • Providing general office support including filing and document preparation
  • Assisting with project management by tracking deadlines
  • Analysing car tracking reports and providing feedback
  • Ensuring confidential information is being handled with discretion and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric and a Diploma in Marketing or a related field
  • At least 5 years’ experience in sales reporting, analysis and sales administrative support
  • ADVANCED Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables) and Power BI skills
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with excellent diligence
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle competing priorities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, exceptions and anomalies in data
  • Experience in meeting minute taking and distributing minutes
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • A high degree of professionalism and attention to detail
